Individual & Marital/Couples Counseling

Individual or couples therapy begin by obtaining your consent, gathering relevant background information, clarifying expectations and establishing your realistic goals. Successful treatment requires a commitment, a willingness to be open and honest and to actively participate consistently. Therapy is most effective when it is consistent and standing weekly or at least bi-weekly appointments are scheduled.

Lana has 30 years of experience as a professional counselor and is an in-network provider for most United Health Care, HealthFirst/Optum, Government Employees Health Association (GEHA), United Medical Resources (UMR) and Regular Medicare, (NOT Medicare Advantage plans, NOT Medicaid and NOT BCBS). Your insurance benefits are verified prior to beginning counseling. If using insurance, your insurance company determines what your out-of-pocket costs are.

If you have out of network insurance benefits, you would need to pay for your counseling services out of pocket at the time of service and submit a request to your insurance company for them to reimburse a portion of the cost. You should call them before you book an appointment so that you know if they will reimburse you.
